I work on a single problem from two directions.

As a researcher, I study how complex systems fail: the dependency structures, cascade trajectories, and intervention windows that determine whether an organisation, a force, or an infrastructure holds or collapses under pressure. This work is formalised in the Operational Continuity Framework (OCF), currently under development as part of a PhD at Cranfield University and being stress-tested through TYRAXE, a navigation and communications resilience platform operating under degraded signal conditions.

As an executive, I apply the same diagnostic rigour to organisations. Thirty years across Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, SAS, Toshiba, Motorola, Nissan, Nestlé and a succession of financial services and fintech engagements have given me the pattern recognition to identify where performance systems are fragile, and the operational experience to fix them. Turnarounds, revenue builds, platform transformations, board-level programme direction.

In most cases, the failure was not a surprise. Someone, somewhere, could see the dependency. The question is why the cascade was not stopped.
